Spar to invest €40m in stores

SPAR Ireland today announced that the company and its independent retailers will invest over €40m in the expansion of its Eurospar supermarket brand in Ireland in the next year.

The investment will result in 10 new Eurospar stores and 750 additional jobs by the end of 2005 and will bring the total invested by the company and its retailers in the Eurospar expansion to more than €90m in over two years (2004-2005).
