Avery Berkel purchases Irish distributor

Weighing equipment supplier, Avery Berkel Ireland has purchased Eddie Connally & Co, a key distributor in the Irish retail market.

For 20 years, Eddie Connally & Co has managed the successful distribution of weighing and catering equipment to the independent retail sector and has been instrumental in helping to promote the Avery Berkel brand to its market leading position.

The acquisition of Eddie Connally & Co provides an opportunity for Avery Berkel Ireland to extend and develop its product offering to retailers and to further secure its dominant position in the market.

Eddie Connally has been a well know figure in the retail weighing trade in Ireland for nearly 40 years. Mr Connally said: “Working together in partnership we will be stronger and can concentrate on bringing new products and innovative solutions to our customer base.”
