Oil giant Shell said today it wanted to scrap its twin board structure as it battles to restore confidence in the wake of its reserves crisis.

Oil giant Shell said today it wanted to scrap its twin board structure as it battles to restore confidence in the wake of its reserves crisis.

Shell said directors would now be based at a single head office in The Hague, in the Netherlands, while chief executive Jeroen van der Veer would be handed extra powers in an effort to speed up reform.
