Taoiseach opens Commercial Court

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and Chief Justice John Murray have officially opened the Commercial Court in Dublin.

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and Chief Justice John Murray have officially opened the Commercial Court in Dublin.

The court will deal with multi-million euro litigation involving big business and will be chaired by High Court judges.

Twenty-five cases have been brought before the court since the start of the year.

The court has been fitted with state-of the-art facilities and is located in Bow Street, which falls within the newly designated legal quarter of Dublin city centre.
