Tycoon Green clears loan on Arcadia

Entrepreneur Philip Green will celebrate another milestone for his retail empire this week after clearing his borrowings on fashion chain Arcadia.

Fresh from a rise in operating profits at his Bhs business, Mr Green is expected to say that he has paid back the £808m (€1.2bn) he borrowed from HBOS to acquire the Top Shop to Burtons group two years ago.
