ISEQ falls 23.99 despite late recovery
The ISEQ index slipped again today, falling back 23.99 to close at 5,593.19.
Allied Irish Bank shares recovered today, climbing 7c to €13.80. Bank of Ireland shares were up 3c to €10.99.
Shares in Anglo-Irish Bank climbed 5c to €14.98 but there was bad news for Irish Life & Permanent as shares plummeted 38c to €12.82.
Elsewhere shares in Iona Technology surged today, rising 45c to €3.65. Iona Technology today announced third quarter revenues of $16.5m (€13.3m).
Building materials group CRH shares fell 6c to €18.87.
Oil prices caused jitters in the market again today and took effect. Ryanair shares slipped back 7c to €3.67 at session's close.
Pharmaceutical group Elan slipped considerably today, falling 64c to €17.10.
