Ailing British retailer WH Smith today unveiled annual losses of £135m (€196.5m) following an “unacceptable performance” by its high street business.

Ailing British retailer WH Smith today unveiled annual losses of £135m (€196.5m) following an “unacceptable performance” by its high street business.

The figure for the year to August 31 compared with profits of £52m (€75.7m) a year earlier and included around £200m (€291m) of exceptional items.
