Race on for Unison top job
Nominations opened today for the job of general secretary of Unison, the UK’s biggest trade union.
Dave Prentis, the current leader who took over from Rodney Bickerstaffe, will stand for re-election to the post.
The union’s 1.3 million members will vote in the new year.
Elections for the post must be held every five years, according to the union’s rules.
