Dept of Transport considering Aer Lingus report

A consultants report on the future of Aer Lingus is being considered by the Department of Transport.

Goldman Sachs has examined a number of possible different options for the national airline.

They include continued ownership by the state, a private equity sale, or complete privatisation.

The report will be examined by a special Oireachtas transport committee and the Taoiseach and Tánaiste, when Bertie Ahern arrives home next week from a trip to the Far East.
