Google to offer book searches
Google is launching a new service to make books and other printed materials searchable online, the internet search engine company has announced.
Publishers can send their books to Google, where they will be scanned and added to Google’s search index for free. Google Print gives publishers a new promotion tool, the company said at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
Users will be able to view information about a book and browse select pages, though not the whole book. The pages will also contain links to booksellers, Google said.
