Music promoter Mean Fiddler today shocked shareholders by saying it had ousted its new chief executive and that a newly-appointed chairman would not be joining the board.

The company, which sells tickets for the Glastonbury, Leeds and Reading festivals, said it would no longer be buying internet company Media Internet Telecom for £5.6m (€8.1m) from Richard Clingen, who was made chairman only last week.
