Cork, Shannon and Knock International Airports got a boost today with the news low-fares airline easyJet will launch a daily route between Cork, Shannon and Knock airports and London Gatwick Airport.

Cork, Shannon and Knock International Airports got a boost today with the news low-fares airline easyJet will launch a daily route between Cork, Shannon and Knock airports and London Gatwick Airport.

The flights will commence in January 2005. Details of flight time and prices will be announced at a later date.

Ray Webster, chief executive, easyJet, said: "The great news for consumers is that this route will be offered from Gatwick Airport in south London which will attract thousands of new passengers and give a new low-cost option for those who prefer to fly to and from Gatwick."
