The recovery in UK manufacturing appears to be stuck in a low gear after demand dropped below normal levels in September, a survey showed today.

The recovery in UK manufacturing appears to be stuck in a low gear after demand dropped below normal levels in September, a survey showed today.

Total orders slipped back this month and demand for exports fell to its lowest level since February, the Monthly Industrial Trends poll from the CBI showed.
