Boots to open Ennis store

Boots is to create 20 jobs in Ennis with the opening of its thirty-sixth Irish store.

The new store is due to open its doors on Friday, November 12.

Staff recruitment for the new store is to begin shortly and will bring the total employed by Boots in the Republic of Ireland to more than 1,170 people, across the 34 pharmacies and two health and beauty stores.

This investment is part of an ongoing Ireland expansion programme.

Boots Ireland deputy director Deirdre Burns has said: "We are delighted to extend our property portfolio to include Ennis."
