AIB over-charging inquiry complete

The inquiry into over-charging at AIB is complete. Its findings will now be considered by an AIB board-appointed committee, the bank said today.

The inquiry was undertaken by Deloitte and independently assured by former Comptroller and Auditor General, Lauri McDonnell.

"The AIB board committee’s remit will include the consideration of any appropriate disciplinary proceedings. Such proceedings would be conducted in accordance with the bank’s disciplinary code and would ensure that individuals were afforded full rights to due process," AIB said today.

All actions taken will be reported to IFSRA.
