Around 100,000 people who connected to telephone or broadband services this year could reportedly be entitled to a refund for paying too much VAT.

Reports this morning said eircom and Esat BT were still levying VAT at 21% for network connections, despite a Supreme Court ruling that found a lower rate of 13.5% should apply.
