Business group reports drop in Irish litter levels
Overall litter levels in Ireland have fallen significantly in the past year, according to the latest survey by the Irish Business Against Litter organisation.
The organisation said cleanliness levels throughout the country were currently at 76%, a 16% improvement on this time last year.
It also said the amount of towns ranked as litter-free had doubled in the past year.
Cavan was found to be the cleanest town, while Galway city was found to have made the most improvements over the past year. Dublin city, Tallaght and Cork were found to be the most littered areas.
