BAE shortlisted for US defence contract

BAE Systems today moved closer to landing a multi-billion dollar contract to protect commercial aircraft from missile attack.

The UK company secured a place on the final shortlist of firms tasked by the US Department of Homeland Security with developing technology to counter the terrorist threat.
