ADM Londis surges ahead with store openings

ADM Londis today announced that it is well ahead of targets in terms of store openings for the year 2004, with 15 more planned before the end of the year.

ADM Londis today announced that it is well ahead of targets in terms of store openings for the year 2004, with 15 more planned before the end of the year.

Forecasts for 2004 indicated growth in the region of 30 stores by year-end and already this target has been surpassed.

In the past seven months ADM Londis have opened 30 new stores in Ireland, in Cavan (1), Cork (1), Dublin (7), Galway (2), Kerry (2), Laois (2), Limerick (3), Louth (5), Offaly (1), Tipperary (1), Wicklow (1), Wexford (3) and Waterford (1).

Commenting on the rapid expansion, Stephen O’Riordan, joint chief executive, ADM Londis said: "We are particularly pleased with our growth in the key Dublin market where we have opened seven new stores already this year."

ADM Londis employs over 5,000 staff throughout its 330 stores nationwide and plans to open a further 15 stores before year-end, with the creation of 300 new jobs.
