House price growth slows down
The growth of house prices has slowed down in the first seven months of the year.
According to the Permanent TSB house price index, the value of residential property has increased by 5.7% for the first seven months, compared to 8.1% in the same period last year.
The average price paid for a house in July was €247,000, which was €13,000 more expensive than last December.
Niall O'Grady of Permanent TSB says it's good news for anyone planning to buy a home in the coming months.
