A string of corporate updates was guiding investors today as the London market picked up momentum following yesterday’s losses.

Results from heavyweights including Royal & Sun Alliance contributed to the upbeat mood, with the FTSE 100 Index 14 points higher at 4326.5 by mid-morning.
