Joe Walsh welcomes new WTO trade deal
The Minister for Agriculture and Food, Joe Walsh, has welcomed the new tariffs and trade deal brokered by the World Trade Organisation.
He said that it would bring a significant boost to agriculture in Ireland, as it copperfastens the benefits to Irish farmers of the recently-negotiated reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.
Speaking of the agreement, Minister Walsh said that it covers the three pillars of the agricultural negotiations: domestic support, market access and export competition.
