Dispute at Brinks Allied will not affect ATMs
The union representing employees at the Brinks Allied security company has criticised new procedures being implemented by the company.
SIPTU has claimed that the new security vans for transporting cash are designed for use on the continent, and not in Ireland.
They have also taken issue with new instructions for the drivers of security vans to leave the scene in the event of an incident and abandon their colleagues.
Spokesperson for SIPTU, Padraig Yeates, today said that his members have expressed concerns at the changes, but stressed that they are available to provide a full service to the company.
