Guidelines inform directors of company law

The Director of Corporate Enforcement has published guidelines to help company directors comply with new legal obligations.

The obligations, contained in the Companies Act 2003, require firms to confirm that they have complied with certain laws.

Paul Appelby, the Director of Corporate Enforcement, said the laws were drawn up following incidences of corporate misconduct that have come to light in recent years.
