CCI demands more action on insurance
The Chambers of Commerce of Ireland (CCI) has welcomed the publication of the second Interim Report on Reforms to the Irish Insurance Market this afternoon, but says more direct intervention is needed to drive down insurance costs.
Speaking this afternoon, CCI president Mark Staunton said: "This report makes several key recommendations, but while it is high on aspirations at this stage we need action not words to make a real difference in lowering insurance premia.
"Report recommendations that are not acted upon and become mere words on paper will not make insurance companies reduce their premia. These companies want to see real ways that clients are reducing their risk levels."
