Independent public transport and airport service provider Aircoach has announced the launch the first of its roll out services from Dublin Airport to Portlaoise.

This new service will commence on Saturday morning, July 10 2004 at 8.30am.

This is the first in a series of new route announcements, which the company will reveal in the coming weeks.

This new service will see the company use an additional four Setra S415, HD, luxury coaches, bringing the total fleet of Setra luxury coaches to 48.

The route will travel from Dublin Airport to Naas (Main St), Newbridge (Shopping Centre), Kildare (The Square), Monasterevin and Portlaoise.

The travel time will be 90 minutes in total and will commence each day from the Airport at 06.00hrs with the last service at 7pm, Monday – Sunday.

Using the combination of onboard GPS satellite navigation system and the use of GPS satellite tracking technology will allow intending passengers to log onto www.aircoach.ie and pinpoint in real time the precise location of any coach in the Aircoach fleet.

This new airport service will similar to the current services presently operating in the Ballsbridge and Leopardstown/Stillorgan/Sandyford routes.

This new Portlaoise to Dublin Airport service will see the company employ an extra ten drivers, bringing the staff levels at the company to 120.

In the company’s recent set of accounts – Last Passive Ltd made a profit of €1.28m.
