M&S boss cleared by watchdog
Marks & Spencer boss Stuart Rose was given the backing of the City watchdog today following an inquiry into his dealings in the retailer’s shares.
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) said there were no “ongoing inquiries” in respect of Mr Rose following an investigation by its enforcement division.
The M&S chief executive had denied any wrongdoing in a deal to buy shares shortly before retail tycoon Philip Green launched his bid for the group.
