The Business Software Alliance has claimed that almost half of all computer software used in Ireland has been copied illegally.

The Business Software Alliance has claimed that almost half of all computer software used in Ireland has been copied illegally.

The alliance said a global survey by the research firm IDC had found that 41% of software used in Ireland was pirated, compared to the EU average of 37%.
