John Wood profits set to shrink

Shares in British oil and gas engineer John Wood Group weakened 12% today as it warned profits would be “somewhat lower” than last year.

The Aberdeen-based firm, which builds and maintains offshore oil and natural gas installations and power-generating turbines, was hit by delays in engineering contracts and challenging US power markets.
