EU and US business leaders meet in Limerick
Senior business executives from both sides of the Atlantic are due to meet in Co Limerick today for talks aimed at promoting further EU-US trade.
The meeting in Adare Manor is taking part to coincide with the EU-US summit at Dromoland Castle, due to be attended by President George W Bush.
The agenda for the transatlantic business dialogue includes the further removal of trade barriers and the possibility of establishing common accounting standards to promote more transparency in transatlantic trade.
A report drawn up by the body will then be presented at tomorrow’s EU-US summit.
