Vodafone today announced Brian Clark, chief executive of Vodafone's Asia Pacific Region, is to be new president and CEO of Vodafone Holdings KK and Vodafone KK following the resignation of Darryl Green.

Vodafone today announced Brian Clark, chief executive of Vodafone's Asia Pacific Region, is to be new president and CEO of Vodafone Holdings KK and Vodafone KK following the resignation of Darryl Green.

Vodafone KK is the Japanese arm of the mobile giant.

David Jones, the recently-appointed chief operating officer of Vodafone KK, will continue to have full responsibility for all operational matters.

Meanwhile Vodafone has announced that Italian Vittorio Colao is to resign from the board of Vodafone from July 27.

Mr Colao has accepted the position as chief executive of RCS MediaGroup, an Italian publishing and media company.

It is intended that Pietro Guindani, currently chief financial officer of Vodafone Italy and the Southern European, Middle East and Africa Region, will be appointed chief executive of Vodafone Italy as well as chief executive for the region.
