ISEQ makes slight gains

The ISEQ index of shares closed up 11.43 points at 5,320.01.

The most traded stocks today included Bank of Ireland, AIB, CRH, Anglo Irish and Ryanair.

Bank of Ireland closed up 6c at €10.64, AIB was up 1c at €12.26 while Anglo Irish shed 1c to close at €13.14.

CRH closed 6c down at €17.53 and Ryanair gained 1c to close at €4.55.

Elan was one of the main movers, up 37c to €18.30 as it announced that chairman Garo Armen is to step down in the near future.
