Vodafone chief gets $3.2m in year

Vodafone’s new chief executive Arun Sarin received a total of £3.2m (€4.8m) from the mobile phone giant in the last financial year, figures showed today.

The 49-year-old’s £1.1m (€1.67m) basic pay was bumped up by bonuses and benefits after a year in which the group saw underlying profits surge 19% to £10bn (€15.2bn).
