Inquiry launched into BOI trading

An inquiry has been launched into trading of Bank of Ireland shares at the time of former chief executive Michael Soden's retirement last week.

The Sunday Business Post reports stock exchange officials are examining share transactions which took place after trading hours on the evening before Mr Soden's resignation.

The officials are probing whether news of the chief executive's departure may have leaked ahead of the official announcement.
