Woodies announces €10m expansion programme

Woodie’s DIY and Garden Centres today announced a €10m expansion programme, which will see Ireland’s largest DIY chain expand its network from 18 to 23 stores within the next 12-18 months.

Woodie’s DIY today opened for business at its new superstore and garden centre on the Naas Rd, creating a further 60 jobs.

Commenting on the company’s expansion programme, Woodie’s chief executive Ray Colman said: "The DIY sector in Ireland is buoyant and as the market leader in this sector we are well positioned to capitalise on the growth which is taking place in the market.

"Through the growth in our nation-wide network we are introducing new synergies in our business and we are delivering more value for money and greater choice to our growing customer base."
