ntl Ireland announces €100m investment in broadband
ntl Ireland today announced a major investment in upgrading its cable network, which will enable the company to deliver broadband services to over 100,000 homes by the end of this year and to the rest of its network by the end of 2006.
Overall, ntl will invest €100m in upgrading its cable network. The investment comes on foot of the significantly improved financial and operational performance of ntl Ireland in the past year.
Graham Sutherland, managing director of ntl Ireland said: "This is a very significant day for ntl, its customers, associates and shareholders.
“Today marks a major drive to deliver widespread availability of broadband to homes within our network reach and will provide real platform competition within these areas."
