Swedish constructor renews BT contract

Swedish construction giant Skanska said today its contract with BT to provide telecommunications infrastructure for the company’s fixed network in Britain had been renewed.

Skanska said the contract, worth £213m (€319.9m), is an extension of a previous three-year contract.

Under the contract, Skanska will provide infrastructure services including civil engineering, underground cabling and telecommunication pole renewal for BT’s external fixed network for telecom and data traffic.
