Aer Lingus chairman expected to resign over AIB scandal
The chairman of Aer Lingus, Tom Mulcahy, a former senior executive with AIB, is resigning from his position with the airline over the latest scandal at the bank.
He’s understood to be one of five executives who had, what AIB have described as 'tax issues', due to arrangements unconnected to the controversial scheme.
The Minister for Transport is understood to have accepted Mr Mulchahy's resignation.
Meanwhile, former AIB executives understood to have been involved in an offshore investment scheme have been named.
