Telcoms company eircom was static at €1.40.

The company has announced the acceleration of its DSL roll-out.

Analysts believe that by offering rebates to wholesale or retail customers who sign up for three months the company will begin to generate a return on its broadband investment.

Dragon Oil saw its stock rise 1c to €0.66c after the company announced that it has completed its Turkmenistan drilling operation and described it as successful.

Shares in Kerry Group were down 15c to €16.85.

The food group held its annual general meeting this afternoon.

The company said it expected a good "outturn in full year 2004" following successful acquisitions.

It has also "significantly" broadened the group’s flavour development technical and regional base, and expanded the group’s interests in the US-branded beverage food service and natural foods sectors, Chief Executive Hugh Friel said.

Greencore saw profits dip 3% to €30.1m to the end of March, but the group has said it remains confident of positive results at the end of the full year.

Shares in the convenience food group were up 4c to €3.00.

Financials saw AIB down 3c to €11.76, BoI down 1c to €9.92 and Anglo Irish down 17c to €12.83.

Pharmaceutical firm Elan was up 18c to €18.15 after making one-year data available to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the approval of Antegren for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS).
