More than 19,000 new cars were registered in Ireland last month, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

More than 19,000 new cars were registered in Ireland last month, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said the figures represented a 3.1% increase on the almost 18,500 new cars registered in April 2003.
