Mexico summit plea

Latin America’s poor economic performance will top the agenda when the region’s rulers meet leaders of the 25 European Union nations in Mexico.

At the summit, beginning on May 28 in Guadalajara, the EU will urge Latin American countries to do more business with each other – and with Europe – and to spread the wealth among their populations.
