Insurance firm cash boss goes over the top, less €27,000

A leading insurance firm’s chief financial officer has gone to court claiming he was stripped of €27,000 through bogus credit card charges after a night at a Manhattan topless club.

But a spokesman for the club, Scores, said the unsatisfied customer had been spending “like a rock star”.

Mitchell Blaser, 54, who works for the American division of Swiss Reinsurance Co, one of the world’s largest insurers, claims his original €8,400 American Express bill had been inflated by a €3,700 tip and more charges during the night brought his total to almost €27,000.
