Compass Group reports strong growth in last six months

The Compass Group, the world’s largest catering firm, has reported strong growth in the six months to the end of March this year.

The company said today that the Group had made pre-tax profits of €145m worldwide in the six-month period.

Through its Irish catering interest Eurest, it has also secured new business in Ireland worth more than €6.8m.

The Compass Group employs 1,500 people at 160 locations in Ireland through the Eurest workplace catering firm.
