Businesses not insured for 'cyber-liability', says firm
Many Irish businesses are not insured against losses suffered due to computer viruses or attacks by hackers, according to a survey conducted by Coyle Hamilton Insurance.
The survey found that many businesses were also unaware that their existing insurance policies did not cover such eventualities.
Coyle Hamilton, which claims to provide the most comprehensive “cyber liability” cover in Ireland, said businesses should check their existing policies and get additional cover if they feel they are exposed.
