€45m Hilton planned for Walls development

A new 115-bedroom hotel is to be built near Dublin Airport by Hilton International.

The €45m hotel has given a major boost to the 20-acre development being planned for the area by developer PJ Walls.

It will be situated at the Malahide Road/Northern Cross junction and will be known as the Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel.

The four star hotel is expected to provide 110 jobs for the area.

It will also be seen as adding prestige to the planned development - a residential, retail and office campus which will include up to 700 apartments, starting at around €225,000 for a one bedroom unit.

The hotel is expected to be completed by spring 2005.
