O2 digital media conference takes place next week

The third O2 digital media conference will take place in Dublin next week. It will focus on broadcast, entertainment, film and music as well as wireless and gaming.

A key function of the conference is to form and prioritise recommendations as to the best strategies the industry should undertake in order to maximise competitiveness, growth and return on investment.

Another focus will be on recommendations to ensure the future of the entertainment industry and its players.

A panel of experts will discuss Ireland's future in broadcasting and how best digital content providers, telecommunications companies and other stakeholders will work together.

The Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources Dermot Ahern will launch the event at the Alexander Hotel, Merrion Square, on Monday April 26.
