Trintech wins new Alphameric deal

Irish payment software group Trintech has announced a new deal with Alphameric, as the retail solutions provider has selected Trintech's Smart 5000 PINPad for its EPOS implementations across a number of retailers in the UK and Ireland, including Clinkards, Giles Sports and Slater Menswear.

The Smart 5000 terminal is based on Trintech's Open Pay architecture consisting of a fast and powerful ARM processor and open source operating system (Linux).

Trintech's Smart 5000 terminal is equipped with a single slot for magnetic stripe and smart cards, thereby solving the problem of consumer and cashier confusion at the point-of-sale.
