United Beverages to sell Finches brand

United Beverages, a subsidiary of Diageo, is to sell its Finches brand to M&G Gleeson, which owns the Tipperary mineral water brand.

United Beverages, a subsidiary of Diageo, is to sell its Finches brand to M&G Gleeson, which owns the Tipperary mineral water brand.

United Beverages' bottling plant in Dundalk, which employs 19 people, and its plastic bottling factory in Drimnagh, Dublin, where 45 people are employed, will both be closed as a result of the deal.

It is thought that employees of United Beverages will be given the choice to move to M&G, which is based in Borrisoleigh, Co Tipperary.
