Increase in profit warnings issued
Profit warnings issued by British listed companies rose by more than a third during the first three months of this year, it emerged today.
Software and retailing companies accounted for 30% of the total number, which Ernst & Young said rose to 71 from 52 in the last quarter of 2003.
