Despite needing "a lot of management attention," National Irish Bank (NIB) will not be sold by its parent, National Australian Bank (NAB).

Chief Executive John Stewart applied the same prognosis to NAB's three other European banks - Yorkshire, Clydesdale and Belfast-based Northern Bank.
